The research facility in charge of this research is named after Dharma, which is the origin for Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism. It also appears that everyone is going through flashback phases where of when they did something wrong. People either die or get taken away. Children are the most likely to get taken away and that is because they’re born without sins or don’t have enough time to accumulate sins yet and get to go to heaven immediately.

I’m not too sure what happens if you die. I’m leaning toward hell, but this is still speculation. It could be they go to heaven too, but anyway, they’re leaving purgatory.

Interestingly enough, right before Boone died, he repented on what he did to his nanny Teresa…

Just a thought.

Then an episode later, Locke shows that you can’t begin to enter it the alarm goes off.

I was like I’ve seen those types of cases before. Apparently they’re quite durable: In addition to being more durable than a leather or cloth case due to its rigidity, the aluminum case seals tightly against dust and water.

Also, they’re quite pricey: Although lighter, the carbon fiber briefcases cost about $2000, about seven times the cost of the standard aluminum Zero Halliburton briefcases. So even the standard aluminum cases are around $300.
