Cell Phone Buzz

expected my day to be extremely boring. turned out pretty okay. i was first woken up @ 7am when natdogg had to leave. then i remember when andrew left and said something about leaving the dishes for him to attend to when he came home. then all was well until i heard my computer go BUZZZZZZZZZZ BUZZZZZZZZZZ BUZZZZZZZZZZ BUZZZZZZZZZZ BUZZZZZZZZZZ. i was like oh shoot! don’t die on me!!!!!! was going to jump off my bed and see what was wrong, but suddenly realized it could be my cellphone. so i waited for awhile and it stopped. so bleh, i’m still sleeping, don’t bother me. an hour later, it came buzzing again. decided it was finally time to get up. i think this was around 1:30pm. got up to see my 2 missed calls. turns out to be liam. gave him a call back and he asked if i wanted to watch the 49’ers game together. i was like, “sure, why not.” however the game turned out to be a great disappointment with the broncos winning 24-14. sigh… i recently found out that CAL Bears (berkeley’s football team is doing great this semester) 3-0 so far. that’s 3 wins and not 3 losts.

for saturday nite, cunndogg and i dedicate it to 2 hrs of tv. 4 of our favorite show comes on back to back. comedy central presents .. “fudge! i bit too far into my nail, and now it hurts!!!” sorry got sidetracked there. anyway, comedy central presents “The Man Show”, “Crank Yankers”, “South Park”, and our favorite one of all: “Trigger Happy TV”. That show is so hilarious. You’ve really gotta see it to experience it. liam dropped by again after dinner and waited for his special someone to call him.

anyway, another thing that made my day was episode 7 of Dragon Drive is out. once again i got to see the cute dragon:

Heaven 911

another boring saturday it is. so i’ve dedicated today to be links day where i’ve post all the links i’ve been accumulating for awhile.

my friend airzjordan sent me this mp3 provided by HOT 99.5 which as people claimed is a tear jerker. in case the original link doesn’t work, try this (YouTube). it’s an extremely sad song and i must warn that by listening to this song, it may cause depression and many other symptoms which i will not be held accountable. welp, my day started out quite boring, but ended great. natdogg, cunndogg’s friend came over and we went to the saloon again. no arrest this time, but we had some great chats and some girls were checking out natdogg. then we went walking around the streets bumping into other drunkees and one of the girls was singing and tapping everyone’s shoulder that was walking by. we then raced down several streets or was that before we bumped into the other drunkees. hmmmm, can’t seem to remember. anyway, during our time @ the saloon, cunndogg and natdogg had a bet that cunndogg couldn’t take the nasty drink he ordered and cunndogg said he’d take 2 if natdogg pays for the drinks. the bet was made. cunndogg allowed me to have a taste and i took a *tiny* sip and immediately spit it back out. it was freaken nasty!!! but cunndogg was the man and he took 2 glasses down. it was called the zombie or something. he was really wasted by the time he finished. anyway, when we got back to the apartment, cunndogg had another drink, called the tango dew which he made himself by looking it up on the web. he had one earlier and there was not really much alcohol in it when he let me taste it. then he fixed it up again and said it was different. it sure was, there was A LOT more alcohol in it this time and i took a kleenex afterward and wiped my tongue. really nasty after taste. anyway, that’s all for today and g’nite ^_^zzz

One Week Without Showering

it’s been exactly 1 week. i mean ONE ENTIRE WEEK and i’m not joking about it either. Last time i took a shower was last friday morning before the apartment maintenance guy Mitch came and tore it apart. Till today, the bathroom is still in process of renovation, HOWEVER the tiling has been completed. Mitch says he’ll just need to paint on Monday and we’ll be set. Mitch is actually a really cool guy. knows how to joke. super friendly and just the type that you feel very comfortable chatting with after one or two encounters.

anyway, back to the shower business. reminds me so much of calvin and hobbes when calvin won’t allow his mom to bathe him. i mean i’m sure almost everyone has had that pt in their life. well, maybe not shower, but at least disagree on WHEN. i mean my mom has to tell me to go to shower many many times before i actually take my butt off my chair. i mean i take a shower when i feel like it. should i feel like sleeping, shower in the morning. but, this whole week, i felt dirty (literally, not the opposite of literally). head was itchy, but thanks to the kitchen sink, i was able to wash my hair there. back to calvin, with his enjoying of outside fun (including snow ball fights and rides downhill and into ponds), i’m pretty sure he gets dirty rather quickly. if his mom would only let him be dirty for a couple days, i’m pretty sure calvin would have a different look on taking a bath.

well, have i taken a bath yet or not? that’s the big question right? i mean i even got a haircut by the famous sam with his clippers today! but i’ve gotta thank him for one more thing: him letting me use his bathroom. after that shower, i felt clean. you never know the true meaning clean until you’ve experienced messy and dirty. ever have a really messy room, but one day you took control and decided to clean your room. you’ll notice SO MUCH extra space and how much nicer it’s to live in a clean and organized enviroment. then 2 days later it returns to its normal messy self. hehe.

it’s currently 4:48am and i still have stuff to say, but i guess that’ll have to wait till tomorrow. g’nite ^_^zzz

Stable Pairings

one of the hilarious things happened in my cs70 class yesterday. we were learning about stable pairings and to show this, our lecturer had this little demonstration. he asked for volunteers and 6 guys went up. well, the game goes like this. there are 4 guys and 4 girls and they want to find the configuration which will give them the most stable pairing of all. the thing was they needed to list their preference from 1 – 4 of the other group. The 2 groups were {boy 1, 2, 3, 4} and {girl 1, 2, 3, 4} and the lecturer even asked why several ppl chose that configuration. one said, i’d definitely not chose 3 cause he looks weak. REMEMBER, this was 6 guys in the front. it was hilarious, after they had their preference on who they wanted to marry (both boys and girls who were acted by guys had their preferences). so round 1 came, the setting was set in the medieval ages where boys would come to the girls tower and kneel down and propose). this is how it works, if the boy proposing is higher on her preference list than the one she already has, she kicks the previous one away and accepts the new one. If not, she just rejects him. So the guy goes through all of his entire list of preference until he finds a stable pairing. our job was to prove that given n boys and n girls, that there will always be a stable pairing. and sure enough, there will always be one.

911 Lotto

anyway, our bathroom has finished being tiled. but still unable to use it yet since the tile needs to dry and harden. he says we should be able to use it on friday. sigh… i’ve been washing my hair in the kitchen sink for the past few days. sigh…

currently doing my cs70 hw which is due tomorrow. so gotta get back to work. only 1 class tomorrow! w00h00! ^_^x

Remember 9/11

well, guys although my post is about 9/10, the day you are seeing this is probably on 9/11 so i just hope that everyone remembers what happened exactly 1 year ago. i remember exactly what went on that morning. the nite before was a normal nite where i probably stayed up till 5am watching anime. the next morning everyone in my suite was running around frantically. i didn’t bother getting up until my dad gave me a call around 9am and asked if i heard what was on the news. i said i heard something about meteors falling outta the sky. (hey, i wasn’t that far from the truth). he told me that the WTC has been crashed into with 2 jet-liners and looks like it will soon collapsed. i jumped outta my bed and went outside where everyone else was looking at the TV. sure enough there it was. that day was special. it help us realize that we were no longer inside a dream bubble, and made us realize how vulnerable we were. that day, every american put aside their worries and arguments and united for we stood as one country.

i’m in love… with another anime. Chibi is so cute!!! Just started watching this new anime and Chibi’s this little baby dragon:

Apartment Renovation

i just realized i’ve been forgetting to change the date on these news logs for the last several entries. but those have been fixed now and i apologize for the missing update yesterday. was chatting with my cuz the whole nite and before you knew it, it was 4am and i needed to get up by 9am so i had to make the hard choice of disappointing you guys or missing a class. yes, yes, i know, toland worrying about missing classes? but i’ve sworn to do better this semester. hopefully i’ll see some good results. ^_^x

just got my wireless card today. it’s a dell truemobile 1150 but really is a rebadged Orinoco gold pc card which is known to be one of the best in the wireless industry. it’s been really fun testing it out with airbears and snakescott’s wireless access point who lives below me.

our apartment is being renovated right now. first they painted our kitchen and now they’re re-tiling our bathroom. the re-tiling started last friday and then he had a 2 day break and now he’s continuing. looks like it wont be done until tomorrow. guess what, that means i haven’t had a shower in 3 days already. but i did manage to wash my hair in the sink, my head got really itchy. so, if something smells, it must be me. hehe

Drunken Adventures – Part 2

yesterday… whew! what a night! anyway, i was too dr… i mean too tired to really describe anything in details for i couldn’t continue and wanted to end the news and go to sleep. there were couple things we did last nite. after we left the saloon, we went back to our place and ben had previously bought some type of good whiskey (which everyone besides me agree, but then again, who am i to judge when i’ve never had any other type; supposedly this type of whiskey is a lot easier to go down than others). well, cunndogg convinced me to take a sip of whiskey and it was bitter and nasty and burning. recall ralph from simpsons, “it taste like burning.” but the after-taste wasn’t that bad. the bitterness quickly left my mouth. but once again, i’ve proven to myself that i don’t like alcohol, doesn’t matter what type, what kind, or what genre. anyway, everyone was a bit tipsy @ this point. everyone else had 2 glasses of white russian and then a shot or 2 of this whiskey. nobody was drunk, so we decided to take a walk to the park (next to the berkeley rose garden; sorry but i forgot what the name of the park was). lemme tell you, the park was extremely fun! i mean we were riding the see-saw which made our butt sore. then the swings and ben all this time was yelling, “HELP! I’M GETTING RAPE! AHHHHHHHH!” in a shrill voice. Then came the slides. this was the most fun. it’s an extremely long/tall slide to be on a normal playground. looks like it was meant for the water parks. but anyway, i first slid down on my pants and my butt was on fire by the end of the trip. apparently there were cardboard pieces around which u were suppose to sit on riding it down. but for some reason, it wasn’t thrilling enough for us. either cunndogg or ben decided to throw sand @ liam when he was coming down and it triggered a almost frictionless effect. so each of us took a cardboard box folded up with sand and before we slid down we poured it onto the slide. weeee! i swear i was going @ least 35mph down that slide. then of course, the cop. *shivers* would’ve been super bad if he arrested us. 3 calls. the cop received 3 calls of complaint. wow! we must’ve been one noisy bunch of kids. hehe.

well, any tech-saavy fan would’ve known that Microsoft is releasing Windows XP SP1 (Service Pack 1) on 9/9. however, for it’s premier members, it’s been released already and someone leaked it out onto the net. now everyone is downloading it. worried that you have a cracked version? well TweakTown has found a way to bypass that and let you installed SP1. rumors about it crashing your system, not letting you boot into windows, and others such and such, have not been verified yet. but so far the only problem people has is that if your cd-key is one of mass generated, it will halt the installation half way through and you’ll return to your regular windows xp, with no changes (as they say). anyway, the fastest link ppl have found so far to download SP1 is this. it’s a 130meg file so be warned. ^_^x

Drunken Adventures – Part 1

several exciting things happened to me today. actually several very exciting things happened to me today. first thing was i got 3 shipments: 1 from UPS, 1 from Office Max, and 1 from Office Depot. finally got my wireless nic, bookcases, and plastic drawers. actually this caused the 2nd interesting event.

I was on my way out to class. Office Depot calls and tells me that they’re planning to ship within 45minutes. I’m like okay.. so this was my first class i ditched this semester. sigh… once it starts, you can’t go back. good thing is my apartment is almost ready for display.

Next thing was i realized i’ve been getting a lot less email lately. then i found out that one of my forwarding accounts/very very extremely old email account: krunk@hotpop.com stopped forwarding my emails. it is now fixed, but:

Well, i’m saving the best for last. You know you’re having fun when the cops are after you. well, not when but before they’re after you. hehe. cunndogg, liam, ben, and i went to the saloon again and we got our drinks (mine was non-alcoholic; just a statement before you start thinking otherwise). we then took a walk to the rose garden/park. this was the extremely fun part. i missed those days on the swings, the see-saw, the slides, the monkey bars, but today i got to try them all out again. there’s apparently a curfew for the park and we were being extremely noisy. suddenly sirens came on from two different directions and were heading toward the park. the four of us just got up and started running. at that moment, we all felt like fugitives. it was a very scary, but exciting experience. the cops apparently weren’t after us, but little did we know… so we decided to crash over @ lorie’s, seeba’s, and dan’s place. this was around 1:30am and the lights were all off, but the windows were open. so we rang the bell, several times, and were waiting for them to get outta bed. we’re mean huh? anyway, after 5-6mins no one answered and we decided to leave. we were on our way back when SUDDENLY outta no where came a voice:

“TOLAND AND LIAM. HOLD IT RIGHT THERE.”

we were looking everywhere and finally saw ben using a cone as a megaphone. suddenly he started walking quickly toward us. apparently he spotted a cops car and saw he coming. outta the park emerges a police officer. WE’VE BEEN CAUGHT! he was not a happy camper. he claims his already gotten 3 calls that there’s been a noisy bunch of kids inside the park causing public disturbance and told us to go home immediately. then he said, “you, with the camo-jacket.” cunndogg was wearing his camouflage jacket tonite and began questioning him. he said he smelled alcohol in his breath and asked how old he was. but cunndogg was slick and got off safely. well, we’re finally home and i’m happy to report that i’ve had an extremely exciting day. ^_^x

In God We Trust

grrrrr, we miss the delivery truck today =(. it was suppose to contain our 3 bookcases. came @ 1:05pm which I was home but apparently I was on the phone with AT&T as i noted on yesterday’s news so they got a busy signal when they tried calling me down.
