So I recently found out that my Windows Vista MCE box is now showing all 4.00GB of RAM in System Properties. If you recalled, I had posted about Vista showing only 2,943 MB of RAM, even though BIOS detected all 4GB.

I hadn’t updated any motherboard firmware recently and the only driver updates I installed was my ATI Radeon X1600Pro.

Windows Update did install SP1 about 2 weeks back and that’s the only explanation I can come up that has enabled all 4GB of RAM.

Maybe when they release Windows XP SP3, all 4GB of RAM on my XP box will be enabled. 🙂
