Movie storyline was nothing more than predictable and I was always wonderng if Jake wanted to be an officer so bad, why didn’t he accept help. You’d think to get into the navel academy, he would have needed help from others.<\/p>\n
Anyway, the trailer led me to believe it was Cole (Tyrese) that saw something in Jake and wanted to make him better, but in reality, the movie showed nothing like that. It was Ali (the female commander) and Burton that saw something in Jake. It wasn’t until the final boxing match that Cole even acknowlegded Jake. Also, there were no shots of Navy ships besides the one being built across the harbor. The trailer showed quite a few scenes with it in it along with helicopters and etc. Yah, those were not in the movie.<\/p>\n
Anyway, half of the movie was Jake trying to prove himself by not accepting help and the other half was Jake finally willing to accept help and training for his boxing match.<\/p>\n
Like I said, the movie wasn’t bad. Maybe a bit clich\u00e9, but still enjoyable. Maybe it was just because Ali was really cute. Haha.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I honestly didn’t think the movie was a bad as what everyone was saying. Then again, I didn’t come into this movie expecting much. They’re were right to criticize this movie as more of a boxing movie than military drama. One thing I didn’t get was the trailer was totally misleading. I’ll explain more in … <\/p>\n
