{"id":840,"date":"2006-10-28T17:16:11","date_gmt":"2006-10-29T01:16:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.krunk4ever.com\/blog\/?p=840"},"modified":"2006-10-28T17:16:11","modified_gmt":"2006-10-29T01:16:11","slug":"rejecting-emails","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.krunk4ever.com\/blog\/2006\/10\/28\/rejecting-emails\/","title":{"rendered":"Rejecting Emails"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was sitting at my computer the other day, looking at my email, and I was wondering what I could do to let these spammers know my email address doesn&#8217;t exist, at least until a solution like <a href=\"http:\/\/antispam.yahoo.com\/domainkeys\">DomainKeys<\/a> is widely supported. I&#8217;ve also been getting a bunch of rejected emails from spammers who have using random_phrase@domain.com, since I have a catch all email address.<\/p>\n<p>So I thought, how great would it be if Outlook or any other email client had a <strong>REJECT EMAIL<\/strong> function. When clicked, it would prompt the postmaster of that email server to send a error message back, similar to one of the common email errors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Returned mail: user unknown<\/li>\n<li>Returned mail: Insufficient permission<\/li>\n<li>Warning: could not send message for past 14 hours<\/li>\n<li>Returned mail: see transcript for details<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Similar to how postal mail work, I should be able to write Return to Sender or Moved on the letter and the post office will send the letter back.
